Q&A
-
All bookings should be made on-line, and the system is designed to make this process as simple as possible. If you do have any problems with making a booking, please contact Jan Wilkinson (number at the bottom). The Ts & Cs are there to protect you the hirer and the Village Hall - please do read them.
-
Double check your booking, and if there are any changes to your timing or requirements, please let Jan Wilkinson know.
-
People attending an event at the hall can park free of charge.
-
Occasional hirers will be provided with a key before the event from Jan or (from April 2026) they can access a key from the KeySafe lock with the access code provided. Regular users will be given a key to keep for the period of the bookings.
-
Heating is provided and is programmed prior to each event. If the hall is not at a comfortable temperature on entry, please contact one of the numbers at the end of this Q&A. Please do not touch the controls on each heater.
Internet is available and the code is on the Noticeboard. The connection might drop during an event but is generally reliable. The modem is located in the Old Kitchen if you need access.
Water needs to be turned on if you need the kitchen or toilets. The mains valve is located in the Disabled Toilet and is on when the lever is horizontal.
Lights are controlled from 2 main panels; the Main Hall lights are in the Lobby but there are secondary lights controlled from the panel in the Old Kitchen.
Electricity for the Kitchen and Small Meeting Room is supplied via a Pay-As-You-Go meter in the Kitchen which takes £1 coins. -
Please clean up the hall and leave it as you found it. If you have used any items in the kitchen, make sure these are cleaned and stored back where you got them from. All waste to be put into the correct bins at the entrance to the car park. Turn off the water at the mains valve in the Disabled Toilet. Turn off all the lights before you leave and lock all external doors. Return the key to Jan Wilkinson or place back in the KeySafe lock, jumbling the code.
